The centerpiece for water action is Sauble Beach where there are banana boat rides and rentals of Seadoos, water trampolines and even a giant floating “iceberg” with three climbing walls and a slide. Makin’ Waves Watersports is the concessionaire, with a kiosk right on the main beach in town.
On the more skillful side of play, you can find surfboards and stand up paddle boards for rent at Jack n Jill’s Surf Shop at 214 Main St.
An assortment of water rentals can also be found nearby at Sauble River Marina & Lodge Resort. Situated on the Sauble River, this marina has watercraft rentals that you can drive downstream to the Lake Huron, and canoes and kayaks that can be paddled upstream 2 km to Sauble Falls. Peddle boats, water hammocks and a water slide add to the possibilities.
Moreover, families can find tandem kayaks and pint-sized canoe paddles at Suntrail in Hepworth, and Thorncrest in Southampton and Tobermory. You can also look to Suntrail for Sit-On-Top rental boards great for surfing waves.
