Snowmobiling is a big part of Bruce County’s winter culture. We have a passion for sledding and a strong community spirit for the sport. As part of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, our District 9 has 2400 km of groomed trails and an abundance of sled-friendly communities. Our snowmobiling clubhouses have character and we host special events all winter long. Join us! Pick a home base for out-and-back day trips, saddle bag it community-to-community, or consider a long distance looped excursion.
Scenic Assortment One of our biggest assets is diversity of terrain. Bruce County’s south end has fast track with straight-aways across open, rolling farmland, while the north end offers tight and twisty trails through forest. Icefalls decorate the cliff walls of the Niagara Escarpment and lookouts offer sweeping views of Georgian Bay. The terrific grooming is thanks to the snowmobile clubs in OFSC District 9.
Snowmobile Website Together with our neighbour Grey County, we’ve put together a snowmobile-specific website – www.ridegreybruce.com. Check it out. It provides route tours, maps, events, current weather conditions, web cams and up-to-date trail conditions. Here also, you can purchase a trail permit online, browse through a variety of packaged tours, and find listings of accommodators and eateries that cater to snowmobilers.
