Welcome to Sauble Beach! Voted the #1 beach in Ontario, it is one of the crown jewels of Bruce County. Sauble Beach has evolved over time to become a popular family fun destination during any season!
This 11-kilometer stretch of white sand offers breath-taking views of the Lake Huron shoreline, and is popular gathering place for many activities!
The Sauble Falls Provincial Park, located at the north end of town, is a diverse starting point for family fun in Sauble Beach. Its opening date is set for April 25th, and promises to offer beautiful views of the Sauble River during the spring melt. During this time of year, Rainbow Trout and Chinook Salmon struggle to fight against the cascading waterfall to spawn upstream. As a result, fishing in the area adjacent to the falls has proven to be very efficient!
Also a popular place for photographers, the Sauble River never disappoints. Wildlife viewing in the Park has also become a popular activity amongst visitors and locals alike. The red pine plantation beside the Park is home to some popular Bruce County locals—white-tailed deer, red squirrels, fox, wild turkeys, black bears, and many kinds of winged friends!
The Sauble Falls Provincial Park offers pay and display parking, as well as camping accommodations, day use packages, a playground, and shower and washroom facilities. Bring your family and friends for the day, or stay a night! Pack a picnic lunch, or bring the trusty fishing pole and head down to the River’s edge to try your luck at catching lunch!
Another popular activity for family fun is hiking the Sauble Trail. The trail begins on the east end of the Provincial Park, and follows a 2.5km relatively easy loop to ancient sand dunes and through the red pine plantation. This hike offers amazing opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. But if you’re looking for a thrill, a real adrenaline rush, make sure to stop by the giant Sauble sand dune! Located north of Sauble Beach on the Sauble Falls Parkway, the giant sand dune has long-since been a unique gathering point for locals and visitors alike. If you can make it all the way to the top, the objective is to run, roll, or tumble as fast as you can down to the bottom!
This summer, bring the whole family out to Sauble Beach and choose your adventure! From hiking and swimming to, fishing the Sauble River, to enjoying the serenity of the trails, this town features fun for all levels of Bruce County adventurers!
