Ontario Motorcycle Touring at its Best!

This summer, let the lure of the open road draw you to Bruce County motorcycle touring routes.  This county is made for two wheel touring.  In southern Bruce you’ll travel through rich farmland with beautiful stone houses and handsome barns.  Or, if you prefer to stay close to the shoreline, try the Georgian Bay Coastal Route Motorcycle Tour.  It will take you on the best motorcycle roads around Georgian Bay, with lots of interesting places to stop, and beautiful scenery everywhere!

On the Lake Huron shore, stop for a swim at Sauble Beach, or a picnic at Miramichi Bay. On the Georgian Bay shore, some of the best scenery in southern Ontario awaits you. And as you know, seeing it from a motorcycle makes it even better.  Park your bike and take a short hike along the Bruce Trail for spectacular views of Lake Huron, or fascinating rock formations like the Devil’s Pulpit.   Does Manitoulin Island beckon?  Take the Chi-cheemaun ferry from Tobermory.  They’ll harness your bike down for a safe ride.

If you enjoy schmoozing with other bikers, visit one of the many motorcycle clubs in our area. Or how about dropping in at the 3rd Annual Cargill Bike Bash, taking place July 17th? Visit www.ridegreybruce.com for suggested tours maps, clubs and other useful information.  Maybe you’ll find a great new route.  If you do, please tell us about it and we’ll add it to our list of the best places for two-wheel touring in Bruce County.
