More that a building with exhibits and a theatre. There is also a viewing tower high above the tree tops that gives an eagle's view of the strait joining Georgian Bay with the greater body of Lake Huron. Below the tower is the beginning of a new 5 km park trail to Georgian Bay. It is also part of the Bruce Trail so is a good starting place for a hike to Cyprus Lake or beyond. Park Staff are hopeful that visitors to the area will use the visitor centre as a good first stop to visiting the parks ... and then will continue to drop in, rain or shine.
