Bruce County knows mountain biking! We offer four great locations where you can get off-road and onto trails designed for exciting mountain biking. Whether you’re a novice or an expert looking for new challenges, you'll find all sorts of opportunities in Bruce County.
Starting in the south (8km from Mildmay) is the “Carrick Tract” which consists of approximately 300 acres of mixed softwood and hardwood. This system is excellent for individuals just picking up the sport or riders who just like speed.
The next park (8km S of Paisley) is the “Brant Tract” which contains 781-acres of mixed hardwoods and softwoods and contains approximately 30km of trail. Both of these first 2 parks are multi-use trail systems offering the rider both single/double trails, and equestrian riding; the Brant offers wheelchair accessible trails and snowmobile trails.
In the north (8km N of Wiarton) is the ”Bruce Peninsula Mountain Bike Adventure Park” offering 20 km of trail ranging from single to double-track and a rating of easy to advanced. The park had a major facelift this spring and the trails are now open and the Pump Track will be open in late July, 2010.
At the top end of the Bruce Peninsula is our newest park (6km south of Miller Lake Rd) is the “Lindsay Tract” which contains approximately 7000-acres of mixed softwoods and hardwoods. Trails on the property range from single-track, double-track to roadways suitable for all levels. This is a multi-use trail system and it is quite common to encounter other users on double track such as equestrian.
